Following a career in animated film and television, Heather Pedley moved into the field of publishing in the mid 1990s, specialising in producing material devoted to Complementary Health and Spiritual Growth.

Heather compiled The British Register for Alternative Practice in 2002, an encyclopaedia-style book of information devoted to the many hundreds of therapies, techniques and products available in the United Kingdom today.

Working from her studio at home in North England, Heather has divided her time into researching and writing books that inform, focusing her attentions on complementary health and spiritual subjects. In 2003 she set up a website called SOULWORKERS, devoted to soul journey and enlightenment, personal growth and awareness. Since that time, her website has taken on a life of its own, attracting thousands of visitors from all walks of life from around the world. Heather added to this by forming the UNIVERSAL HEALING NETWORK in 2006, a free distance healing service.

With the support of the Complementary Medical Association (CMA) Heather produced a series of complementary health guides for publishers Heritage House Press.
